Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins who is also known as Antonietta Gonzalez-Collins in both the US and Mexico, is an American Mexican sportscaster. She hosts SportsNation and serves as an anchor for SportsCenter anchor. She was hired by ESPN as a news anchor in 2016. She's the daughter of television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual since when she was nine years old. It is this skill which helped her obtain her first role as a Univision producer assistant Miami. She collaborated with producers for national shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. The next position she was offered was an Sports Reporter for CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. In 2009 she moved to Rio Grande Valley to work as a journalist at KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. Reporting on stories on drugs and immigration issues on both sides the Texas-Mexico Border, she worked as a news reporter on KNVO TV 48, the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 from 5 pm. She was as a reporter for news on English for 9 pm, the news anchor was on until 10 pm, and then returned back to KNVO TV 48, the Spanish channel. Also, she was a substitute for sports anchors and weather forecasters. She was then the anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. In the following years, she was given greater responsibilities. She reported on events like the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series, the Dallas Cowboys and NBA Postseason and the finals for FC Dallas FC Dallas Stars. In addition, she hosted Univision 23's local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra on which she served as the anchor herself. She was appointed as the anchor of the sports program for Despierta America Deportes for their morning show. The same job was held for Primer Impacto magazine and Contacto Deportivo for the UniMas Network. Antonietta Collins was born and raised in the city of Veracruz, Mexico. She was born November 22, 1985, in Mexico City. She is the elder sibling of her parents. She is the older sister. Soon after the family split up, and in 1995 Fabio Fajardo remarried. He died of kidney cancer in 2006. It was during a summer vacation that she stayed with her sister at Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had secured the job. Antonietta was about to graduate from high school, but was already aware of the things she wanted to accomplish. It was an amazing campus. The university also provided her with the program she was interested in. When she finished high school, she made the decision to attend the University with a major in Media Studies. Her relationship lasted for a while with her professor Mark Bergmann who was the manager of WRMU 91.1 FM, a station of which she was a part. Her professor urged her to believe in herself and was deeply touched by his passion for journalism.
